The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has again attacked the media, calling them ‘shields’ of Prime Minister Edi Rama. From the opposition platform in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, Berisha said that the media instills distrust and cynicism in the public.
“The media is becoming Ramaduro’s shield, arousing mistrust and cynicism! On May 8, the peaceful uprising will shake the foundations of the narco-state,” said Berisha at the end of his speech in the opposition lectern in front of the prime minister.
Sali Berisha: My friends, dear parents, the time has come for our response to be anger. The time has come for our response to be revolt.
What do the media controlled by Rama do?
Instead of raising the revolt and civic conscience, instead of reflecting all these angels who are not alive today and who could be among us if the state had done the most minimal tasks, these media wash the brains of Albanians with fake news, corrupt the Albanian language with government propaganda, evoke cynicism as a shield for Ramaduro and great distrust in the citizens.
They attack the opposition only to build a shield for Rama, his deceptions, to obscure the truth from the citizens.
Therefore, May 8 is the only way where the anger, revolt and peaceful uprising of every Albanian can give a punch to Edi Rama’s narco-state.
On May 8, we do not only protest as opposition, but we protest as parents who no longer accept that our children are victims of insecurity on the streets, in schools, in their environments.
We protest as young people who refuse to see our dreams killed by the villas of Agasi, Linda of AKSHI, the apartments of Balluk, as young people who do not want to take the dirt roads, but want to build Europe in Albania and who want Albania to become the home of our dreams.
We protest like the most abandoned farmers in Europe, who sweat every day, but from the price of oil, only bankruptcy awaits us.
We will protest as pensioners that after the rivers of sweat we have shed and the sacrifices we have made decades and decades for our families and the country, we are treated today with a ridiculous, humiliating pension like no other in our region and in Europe.
We will protest as citizens who consider the integration of Albania in Europe the best future for the nation and the country.
We will protest as Albanians who stand up to Albania, which is being deserted by its inhabitants more than ever before in its existence.
Edi Rama has the money, he has the media, he has crime, but he does not have something that no power can buy.
There is no dignity of citizens.
There is no love for the country.
Therefore, on May 8, the peaceful uprising will shake the earth, the foundations of the narco-state and will not stop until the victory of the citizens”, said Berisha.
