Belizean artist Bernard Cayetano, better known as Unlmtd, says he’s had enough, and he wants the country to pay attention. After weeks of fiery social media posts and calls to action, the outspoken artist has taken his activism from the keyboard to the street. On Wednesday, Unlmtd staged a one man picket on the BelCan Bridge, briefly slowing traffic but drawing big attention with a simple message: “Enough is Enough.” Today, we caught up with him to ask what he’s really pushing for, and just how far he’s willing to go to force change.

“I noh know if they understand that we the live hostage. We are being held hostage inna our own country. You see the deal weh them make with the bus drivers the other day? They completely boxed out the Belizean people and everybody see it. they do it in front of everybody face. And I believe that all ah we as Belizeans deserve better. Now what I don’t understand is why everybody see weh the gwan inna the country king, but we noh blind. But we rather, we rather wait till the five years done til they done rape we and prostitute the country before we could stand up. We noh want take one day from work, two days from work. It cost we too much but imagine weh five years wa cost we if you noh stand up today?”

“Everyday till wa change is made king. Who noh like it just noh like it – just noh understand. If you don’t want to be apart of it, yo just move aside and change yo channel.”
While he stands alone on the picket line and causes minor inconvenience for motorists, Unlmtd gets mostly encouraging words and supporting honks from passersby.
