“When Andranik Margaryan was there or had just died, it seemed to us that we were quite close to his dream homeland. Now we are leaving every day, we are leaving painfully,” said Samvel Nikoyan, a member of the RPA executive body, ex-president of the National Assembly, and a member of the RPA executive body, during a visit to the grave of Andranik Margaryan on the occasion of his 75th birthday.

According to him, if Andranik Margaryan and his friends were fighting in this direction, for a long time, all the affairs go in the opposite direction. According to him, this will lead to the loss of our independence and statehood, unfortunately, in the arms of the enemy.

Samvel Nikoyan answered the question: What will you remember from Andranik Margaryan’s messages and advice that are relevant these days? “He had no enemies in the Armenian nation and worked to make it a conciliatory factor for people in different political camps. It was working. At that time, all were national people, they wanted a national state, the approaches were just different. In that sense, there was a contradiction, but not animosity. He wanted to smooth it out. He played the role of a mediator between the opposition and the government. He had good friends and friends in the field of the opposition, with whom he communicated, being the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. Now that is gone. In the RA political field, the opposition and the government are no longer enemies. The government does not give in, does not want to show tolerant behavior with anyone. Even in the parliament, we used to visit together on all occasions, we ate bread together, now there is only enmity, because it is the birth and gene of the Communist Party to see the Armenian nation as their enemy.
