He Ministry of the Interior (Mininter) reported the immediate dispatch of a helicopter from the National Police of Peru (PNP) to the department of Ancash to strengthen the operations of search and rescue of three mountaineers reported missing in the snowy Huascarán.

The portfolio specified, through a statement released this July 15, that the air support seeks to strengthen the response capacity in an area located near the 6,000 meters above sea levelwhere climatic and geographical conditions make rescue efforts difficult.

Ministerial statement.
The Minister indicated that the operations are carried out by a specialized team from the High Mountain Policewhich works in coordination with the competent authorities and first response agencies. Likewise, he indicated that he maintains permanent communication with the institutions involved in responding to the emergency.
The entity also reported that it will continue to allocate the necessary resources to contribute to the location and rescue of missing people.
According to him Regional Emergency Operations Center (COER) Áncash, the disappearance occurred in the section between Field 2 and Field 1 of the snowy Huascarán, within the Huascaran National Park. This sector has geographical and climatic conditions that complicate the location of people and the development of rescue maneuvers.
The actions mobilized additional resources due to the complexity of the terrain, where contact with the three climbers was lost during an expedition. The operation continues under the supervision of the responsible authorities.
In parallel, organizations linked to mountaineering requested respect for the work carried out by the specialists deployed to the area and urged people to avoid the dissemination of unverified information on social networks, pointing out that this situation may affect the development of the search work.
