Albania has started Rolando Marani’s official adventure on the red and black bench with a victory, defeating Belarus 2-0 in the first point challenge of the Italian coach, valid for the first round of the League of Nations.
After two defeats in the first friendlies under his leadership, Marani finally enjoys the first three points, in an evening where Albania showed efficiency in the decisive moments and kept the goal intact.
The party at “Air Albania” started in the 34th minute, when Kristjan Asllani proved to be infallible from the penalty spot. The midfielder correctly executed the 11-meter penalty won earlier by Berat Gjimshiti, giving Albania the advantage.
A goal that came at the right moment for the red and blacks, who had been suffering from a lack of finishing for several games.
When the first half was coming to an end, Ernest Muçi would also put his signature on this victory. After a nice assist from Elseid Hysaj, the striker sent the ball into the net and doubled the red-black advantage.
