The Organization of Islamic Cooperation condemns the Israeli occupation’s piracy of Palestinian tax funds
The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation strongly condemned the approval by the so-called Israeli Knesset of a racist bill to expand mechanisms for confiscating Palestinian tax funds, in flagrant violation of international law and signed bilateral agreements.
It warned of the seriousness of this illegal measure, which constitutes an attack on the rights and financial resources of the Palestinian people, and would exacerbate the deteriorating humanitarian and economic conditions in the occupied Palestinian territory.
The General Secretariat renewed its call on the international community to assume its responsibilities towards pressuring the Israeli occupation to stop this official piracy, and to immediately and unconditionally release all illegally withheld Palestinian tax funds.
