
The press officer of the Helmand Rural Development and Reconstruction Department told Bakhtar Agency that this network was built under the supervision of the department and with the financial support of UNICEF at a cost of 4 million 231 thousand 855 Afghanis.
According to him, this network includes the construction of a concrete reservoir with a capacity of 30 cubic meters of water, digging a well, extending 4500 meters of water pipes, installing 99 pipelines and installing solar panels.
He added that during the construction of this network, dozens of people have been provided with work and with the completion of the project, 142 families in the area have gained access to clean drinking water.
It is worth noting that the provision of clean water is one of the most important needs of people’s health and daily life, and for this purpose, the construction of clean drinking water networks in remote areas is ongoing.
