According to the information of the Department of Villages, Reconstruction and Development of Helmand, this dam was built with the financial support of the United Nations Development Agency in a period of 10 months.
Mullah Mahmood Sani, Head of Helmand Villages, Reconstruction and Development, said that this dam has the capacity to store 200,000 cubic meters of water.
According to him, 840 families will benefit from this dam.
At the same time, Maulvi Amanuddin Mansour, Governor of Helmand, called the construction of this dam important in reducing the effects of drought and thanked the residents of the area for their cooperation during the implementation of the project.
