The official Instagram account of the Comptroller General of the Republic was hacked on the night of this Sunday, April 12, as confirmed by the entity in a statement.
According to official information, the breach occurred around 8:00 pm, forcing the IT team to immediately activate security protocols to regain control of the account and determine the scope of the incident.
The Comptroller’s Office warned that any publication, message or content disseminated during the time in which the account remains compromised does not correspond to official information nor has it been authorized by the institution. The account shows photos of a man with Asian features.
The entity apologized to citizens for the inconvenience caused and assured that it will adopt technical and administrative measures.
