Woman murdered in clothing store in Catacamas; his partner is captured as a suspect

A woman was shot to death this Tuesday afternoon inside a clothing store in downtown Catacamas, Olanchoin a violent incident that also left two people injured.

The victim was identified as Maria Medina34 years old. According to preliminary information, the attack would have been carried out by his sentimental couplewho was captured hours later by National Police agents.

The crime generated alarm among merchants and residents of the downtown area, where the shooting took place. Witnesses described moments of panic after the shots were fired inside the establishment.

After the incident, the suspect tried to flee, but was intercepted in a police operation in the community of Limones, when he was on his way to leave the department of Olancho.

So far, the authorities have not detailed the motive for the crime, although it is not ruled out that it is linked to an act of passion. Investigation teams continue to gather evidence to clarify what happened.

The detainee was placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry, which will be in charge of continuing with the corresponding legal process.
