Veteran journalist Williams Rosa died on Thursday after suffering health complications. He was 74 years old.
Rosa was recognized for his extensive participation in different media, as well as in the area of public relations. He was the brother of the journalist Guarionex Rosa.
The remains of Willams Rosa will be exposed on Tuesday the 14th starting at 9:00 am at the Blandino funeral home on Lincoln and buried in the family pantheon at the Cristo Redentor cemetery, at 3:00 pm.
In addition to journalism, Williams studied architecture.
He worked as a reporter for the stations Radio Comercial, Radio Clarín, Radio Popular, Radio Mil Informando and Radiotelevisión Dominicana, now CERTV.
He was public relations manager for the former Dominican Electricity Corporation; director of public relations of the Ministry of Education, Fine Arts and Cultures and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology.
He also provided services in the Superintendence of Banks and in the Agricultural Bank in the communications departments of those institutions.
He is survived by his wife Austria De Jesús and his children: Swayni Rosa de Rivas and husband, Omar Rivas, Ilia and Zack Varner, his son Gabriel Rosa, as well as his granddaughters Vera Lucía Rivas and Mila Sofía Rivas. Also his siblings Guarionex, Gilda, Pedro, Julio, Dinorah and Ángel Rosa de León and other relatives.
