
Miami/The legendary Cuban singer Celia Cruz is among the artists who will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2026, which includes Phil Collins, Billy Idol and Iron Maiden, the organization reported.
Celia Cruz will receive recognition in the Early Influence Award category, which distinguishes artists whose music and style have directly influenced the evolution of rock & roll and musical culture. Along with her, Fela Kuti, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte and Gram Parsons will be honored in this category.
“Being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is music’s greatest honor. We look forward to celebrating these extraordinary artists at this year’s ceremony,” John Sykes, president of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, said in a statement released Monday.
To be eligible, artists must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the nomination year.
In the main category of performers, the artists selected to enter the Hall of Fame in 2026 are Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division / New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan.
Likewise, the award for Musical Excellence will be awarded to Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller and Rick Rubin, while the Ahmet Ertegun award will go to producer and television personality Ed Sullivan.
The 2026 ceremony will take place on November 14 in Los Angeles, California.

In this edition, Phil Collins, Luther Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan were nominated for the first time, while others such as Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Oasis and Sade had already been considered on previous occasions.
