What wisdom and spiritual awareness it is that we can value the joy that Jesus has left us, after suffering his Way of the Cross. We have practically lived the afflictions of Christ in the recent commemoration, now we prepare to rejoice with Him, in His triumph on the cross, in what He achieved for humanity. Let us remember that the days that followed until the ascension – we could even extend until Pentecost – were a continuous manifestation of joy.
Without a doubt, the joy of those who remain in Christ is a perennial celebration.
Now, how can someone who has personal problems, a lot of children to support, an impossible job, and endless debts be happy? Then go to God. Asking God for the solution to something impossible is simply the opportunity for Him to demonstrate that He is God.
Christ left this settled. The Holy Spirit remains with the disciples until the end of time. His gifts and graces encourage and fill their hearts with joy.
