Police investigate a kidnaps a taxi driver occurred in the last few hours in the Chuy area, in an event that ended with the theft of the vehicle, later recovered in Brazilian territory, informed the Rocha Police Headquarters in a statement.

According to police information, the passenger—a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and his face partially covered—was traveling with a woman. Upon reaching the intersection of Avenida Brasil and Route 9, the driver felt an object on his neck, without being able to determine if it was a firearm.

At that moment, the passengers demanded that he continue the march towards Barra do Chuí. Minutes later, they forced him to get out of the vehicle. without causing injury and they fled with the taxi, in addition to stealing a handy, two cell phones and $5,500.
Vehicle recovered in Brazil

The vehicle was returned to its owner, while the investigation continues by the Zone III Investigation Area to identify those responsible.
