The French president, Emmanuel Macron, plans to receive the Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, 2025 Nobel Peace Prize winner, this Monday afternoon, according to his agenda.
The meeting between the French head of state and the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize winner is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. local time (3:30 p.m. GMT) at the headquarters of the French presidency, the Elysée states on its website.
The French presidency will only report on social networks about the meeting and has not planned the presence of the press inside the venue, sources from the Elysée told EFE.
The Venezuelan opposition leader plans to meet next Friday in Madrid with the president of the Popular Party (PP), Alberto Núñez Feijóo, and with the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, sources from the political party in Madrid told EFE.


In addition, Machado will receive the Golden Key of the city from the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, on the same day. EF
