Public attention at the Kuélap Monumental Archaeological Complex will be suspended on April 12 and 13. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture (Mincul) through an official statement, disseminated on its social networks.
In the notice, the Mincul specified that the decision responds to a series of provisions adopted at the national level, within the framework of the 2026 general elections, which will take place this Sunday, April 12.
As detailed by the institution, the suspension is applied in accordance with the actions established for archaeological sites managed by the sector, under the Single Text of Non-Exclusive Services (TUSNE) and Ministerial Resolution No. 451-2024-MC.

When will Kuelap reopen to the public?
Visits and attention to the public at the Kuelap monument will resume on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at their usual hours.
