About 100 representatives of the world of art, business, fashion, beauty, entertainment and media gathered for the evening dedicated to invited guests. Among them, it was possible to meet not only the heroines of the book, but also the brightest personalities of Lithuania who rarely appear in public: prima ballerina Olga Konoshenko and Marija Simona Šimulynaitė, TV presenters Laimas Kybartienė, Edvard Žičkas who returned from Australia just a day ago, Daiva Tamošiūnaitė, Jūratė Bratikienė, artist Danguolė Pečiukonytė-Juan Font, who lives in Spain, designer Audronė Bunikienė, former model Aistė Jasaitytė-Čeburiak, actresses Virginija Kochanskytė and Redita Dominaitytė, celebrity photographer Ana Rosso, pioneer of natural medicine in Lithuania Jelena Tulčina, the country’s best-known teacher Veronika Naumovaitė-Kazilionė, lawyer Rasa Vaičekauskytė, exterior decorator Rasa Markevičiūtė, businesswomen Sabina Repčenkienė, Irma Spudienė, Dalia Kačiukaitė-Miežanskienė, hair stylist Laima Vainilavičienė and many others.
Some guests of the evening adjusted their travel plans especially for this date – they arrived or adjusted their routes even from Australia, Japan, Spain, Monaco and other countries.
According to the author of the book, Audra Radavičienė, this book was born from the desire to change the attitude towards the maturity of a woman. “For too long, women have been taught to hide age, changes, menopause, fatigue or newly discovered strength. I wanted to create a book that would not scare maturity, but show it as a new stage of freedom,” said A. Radavičienė.
In the book, famous and well-known women share their stories, as well as those whose life experiences can inspire no less. Open testimonies touch on topics that are often not talked about even in the circle of closest friends.
During the evening, there was no lack of sensitive moments, laughter and brave confessions. “This book came out just in time. Women really need to hear that they are not alone. I get up every morning, look in the mirror, smile at myself and my age, because I realize that I want to be friends with him, not to be afraid of him,” said legendary TV star Laima Kybartienė.
Meanwhile, the artist Danguolė Pečiukonytė-Juan Font, who lives in Spain, openly spoke about her fear of growing old and struggling with the signs of aging every day – a new stage of maturity has changed her lifestyle and forced her to slow down.
“I don’t want age to leave traces on my appearance or my well-being. Now I thank God every morning that I can live another beautiful day. Meaningfully, wisely and in the way that only you want, not what others expect from you,” said Danguolė, who was also happy with her new status as a grandmother.
Aistė Jasaitytė-Čeburiak, one of the most famous models in Lithuania and now a psychologist, spoke about the fact that in the middle of the fifties, not only values are refined, but also the environment: “When you live in peace with yourself, at this stage of your age you see only the pluses, because you are a person who has formed and realized your aspirations a long time ago, who is able to look at everything through the prism of peace and experience. Maturity is not the end. For me, it has become the beginning.”
This publication is already called not only a book, but also an important social phenomenon that encourages women not to be afraid of years, body changes or new stages of life. And the evening of the presentation of the book “I am a woman 45+” once again proved that the topic, which was considered uncomfortable for a long time, is becoming one of the most important today.
