Jerusalem, (AFP) – The Israeli army said Wednesday that it was launching raids on Hezbollah targets in several parts of Lebanon, despite a truce announced about three weeks ago in the war between the Hebrew state and the Tehran-backed party.
The army said in a brief statement, “The Israeli army began targeting infrastructure sites belonging to Hezbollah in several areas inside Lebanon.”
Israel and Hezbollah exchange accusations of violating the ceasefire agreement. Israeli forces carry out large-scale demolition and bombing operations in border towns, while Hezbollah carries out operations targeting Israeli forces.
