The Budva committee of the New Serbian Democracy (NSD) called for an investigation into where and on what 20 million euros of money transferred from last year was spent.
“Employees in the Municipality of Budva are receiving late wages, despite the fact that as much as 20 million euros were previously transferred, while the city coffers are now empty. The question arises – where have the millions of euros of the citizens of Budva disappeared? The blocked account and delayed salaries are the most obvious indicator that the DPS is an octopus in power and the money disappears overnight – dubious arrangements are made and appanages are paid to DPS tycoons. The Municipality of Budva transferred 20 million in 2026 euros, with regular filling of the budget from January to May – where did the millions of euros of Budva citizens’ money go and why is the municipal coffers empty?” asked the Budva NSD.
As they emphasize, the definitive confirmation that the Democratic Party of Socialists is in power in Budva is the blocked account and delayed salaries.
“Dear citizens of Budva, employees of the local government and local businesses – your earnings are with the DPS tycoon and the honorary president of the DPS. You have to be a “financial magician” to keep your pockets empty from 20 million euros and the regular filling of the record budget of 79 million euros. How? It paid off hand over fist. For the first time after 10 years and the departure of the DPS government in 2016, we have blocked accounts. DPS is known for its ten-month blocking of accounts caused by the unremembered outbreak of Budva, from which it is still recovering. It is clear that the government was defeated in 2024 in order to bring DPS back into the game, and after a year we already have a blockage of the municipal account”, they conclude in NSD Budva.
