The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Social Services, in collaboration with the Dominica Meteorological Service, has launched a new Health-Climatic Bulletin for the March–April–May period.
Developed over several months, the bulletin serves as an early warning tool designed to help the public and key stakeholders better prepare for potential health risks linked to changing weather patterns.
By connecting climate data with public health trends, the bulletin reviews recent conditions from December to February and examines how weather may have influenced issues within the healthcare system.
It also looks ahead to forecasted conditions for the upcoming months and outlines possible impacts, with a focus on areas such as vector control, non-communicable diseases, and mental health and well-being.
