The decision was made after the Iranians sent an updated proposal for an agreement to end the war. Following this, Trump decided to wait for the negotiations to be exhausted and instead ordered the “Project Freedom” operation in the Strait of Hormuz. To read the article

Senator Lindsey Graham, a Trump ally who has sometimes received a lot of attention from the president on foreign policy issues, wrote on the X network that the president should respond “strongly” to the Iranian attack on the United Arab Emirates. According to him, the Iranian actions “justify a large, strong and short response that will cause further damage to Iran’s war machine”.
Another Trump ally, media personality Mark Levin, joined Graham’s words and expressed support for an aggressive American response. He also called once again for regime change in Iran. Trump regularly praises Levin for his words and appearances in the media.
The Wall Street Journal, one of the largest and most influential newspapers in the US that maintains a conservative editorial line, published an editorial in which he claimed that Iran had ended the ceasefire, and that Trump should return to heavy fighting. “The regime in Iran is ending the ceasefire. Trump can return fire and commit to opening the Strait by force.
