Tensions reached a peak last Friday. Sources in Washington reported that on that day Trump was very close to giving an order to renew the war and launch a wave of attacks on Iran, but changed his mind at the last minute.

The United States and Iran are once again on a collision course that threatens to collapse the fragile ceasefire between them.
