Libya will remain an open space for initiatives that support young people and promote volunteer work, the head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, has said.
He stressed the state’s commitment to expanding regional and international cooperation and strengthening partnerships aimed at human development, describing people as the cornerstone of national progress.
Menfi made the remarks on Monday during a speech at meetings of the Arab Scout Committee in Tripoli, attended by representatives of the Arab Scout Organization and the Maghreb Scouts Union, according to an official statement.
He praised efforts to develop the scouting movement in Libya and across the Arab world, saying it plays a key role in instilling values, promoting responsibility and encouraging community service among young people.
Menfi added that, amid growing global challenges, there is an increasing need to reinforce values such as peace, teamwork and respect for diversity, stressing that investing in people remains the most effective path to a sustainable future.
