Landfills are growing, the waste management system is declining, and recycling is at an all-time low – according to official data, only about 0.5 percent of waste was recycled in 2023. At the same time, illegal dumps are springing up across the country, and responsibility for this state of affairs often remains unclear.

The editorial office of Vijesti, as part of the preparation of an article on waste management and possible abuses in this sector, is launching a short survey among citizens.
