Ipswich secured his immediate return to the club English Premier League Football, after defeating Queens Park Rangers 3-0, today, Saturday, to avoid being chased by Millwall.
The “Tractor Boys” had the fate of second place in the second division (Championship) in their hands, as two early goals in the first ten minutes from Scotland’s George Hurst and Jayden Vilogen allowed the celebrations to start early at the Portman Road stadium.
Irishman Casey McAteer sealed the win five minutes before the end, making Ipswich join Coventry in the top flight next season.
Ipswich struggled last season when they returned to the Premier League for the first time in 22 years, but they hope that this experience will serve them better in the next challenge.

Despite winning only four out of 38 league matches last season, the club was rewarded for its trust in Northern Irish coach Kieran McKenna.
The former Manchester United assistant coach has now led the club to three promotions in four seasons.
“This was probably the hardest, honestly, so it means a lot to me,” McKenna said.
He added: “We had to rebuild this team in difficult circumstances, and everyone continued to work. I think we deserve to be where we are today.”
