Slobodna Dalmacija – TV presenter Petar Pereža and his wife Morana have a third child! Congratulations are coming from all over

Television presenter Petar Pereža (46) is experiencing one of the most beautiful moments in his life because his family has become richer for a new member. He and his wife Morana had a third child, a daughter whom they are especially looking forward to and whose two older brothers, Toma (18) and Šimun (16), could hardly wait.

The presenter announced the happy news on social networks and revealed what name they chose for their little girl.

“Mari Charbel has arrived! Mom Morana is great, and her brothers and dad are the proudest in the world!!!” wrote happy dad Petar.

In a recent interview with Gloria, the presenter told what his perfect Sunday looks like, that the first coffee with his wife Morana is his most important ritual and how much faith means to their family, he writes Gloria.

“It’s those half an hour or an hour of peace before the family hustle and bustle starts. Then, with the kids, we review the week behind us and make plans, without cell phones and distractions,” says Pereža, whose sons Toma (18) and Šimun (16) usually get out of bed around 9 or 10 in the morning, after which they all eat breakfast together. Petar says that he and his wife like a classic breakfast: eggs in various ways or homemade spreads, while the kids are more into cereal or warm sandwiches. However, the most important thing for them, he points out, is that everyone is at the table. After that, it’s time to go to Holy Mass.

    Sljeme – an unmissable stop

“We are a family for whom religion means a lot, so going to Holy Mass is a central part of our Sunday morning. It gives us that inner peace that makes it easier to enter the new working week. If the day is nice, Sljeme is an indispensable stop for us. There is no better way to recharge the batteries than climbing and fresh air,” reveals the native of Split. When he talks about Sunday lunch, he says that they are most often at home, because home, Petar claims, has a smell that no restaurant can replace.

“We also have a little trick: before we leave the apartment (for Mass or Sljema), we put the roast in the oven for a little while, so when we return we are greeted by a ready lunch and the most beautiful smell of home. Since our parents are not in Zagreb, our Sundays are often filled with spending time with our godfathers and friends – they are our Zagreb family. As for the kitchen, I am more of an ‘assistant’ in charge of preparation, Morana is in charge, but I know how to manage,” admits the editor and host. He described how family Sunday afternoons are a sign of ‘maximum relaxation’. Toma and Šimun, he explains, are already at an age when they have their own interests, sports and music, but a game of bela, treseta or some social game always comes in handy.

“They are characteristically curious and I am glad that they have grown into modest and decent young people. If the weather is bad, on Sundays we ‘barricade ourselves’ in the apartment with a good movie,” he said. In the end, he said that it’s normal for Tom and Šimun to see their dad on the screen, they don’t make a spectacle out of it, their topics are more important to them anyway, and he conjured up a family idyll before going to bed: “In the winter, they bake popcorn, snack on almonds or dried figs that arrive from the south. I’m usually in bed around 11 p.m. Before going to bed, I like to read a few pages of a good book – that’s the fastest way to fall asleep and get away from the screen and the information I’m surrounded by professionally all week.”
