A high-ranking Algerian economic delegation participates in the Select USA Investment Summit 2026, one of the most prominent dates for attracting investment in the United States. The delegation includes about 30 heads of major institutions and complexes led by Kamal Moulay, along with the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency, which reflects a strong representation of the national economy. According to a statement by the Algerian Economic Renewal Council, a copy of which was received by Echorouk, the Council, in coordination with the Embassy of the United States of America in Algeria and with the support of the Algerian diplomatic representation in Washington, is organizing the visit of a high-level economic delegation to the United States of America.

The delegation consists of about thirty heads of major institutions and complexes active in various sectors, in addition to the participation of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency, in a step that reflects the diversity of the national economic fabric and a desire to expand its presence internationally.
This mission falls within the framework of Algeria’s participation in the summit initiated by the Commercial Section of the United States Embassy in Algeria, scheduled from May 3 to 6, 2026 in the state of Maryland. This summit aims to strengthen Algerian-American economic relations and open new horizons for partnership and investment.
The delegation of Algerian Economic Renewal Council companies, led by its president, Kamal Mawla, will have the opportunity to exchange directly with American economic actors, from companies and investment and trade promotion bodies, to discuss opportunities to develop partnerships in various economic sectors.
This mission is also reinforced by the active presence throughout the summit of the Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Algeria, Mark Shapiro, which reflects the importance of this event in the bilateral cooperation agenda.
This is the second qualitative participation after the 2025 session, as the Algerian delegation in the 2026 edition will witness it occupying first place among all North African countries, and being classified among the most important delegations attending this international summit, which reflects the dynamism of the Algerian economic presence in international forums.
The source indicated that this strong presence had a very positive impact on the various economic actors participating in this event, enhancing the image of Algeria as a promising investment destination.
In the same context, the Algerian Economic Renewal Council and the interests of the United States Embassy in Algeria were keen to create all the conditions for the success of this mission, by ensuring broad representation of the various components of the national economy.
It has also been planned to hold many meetings with senior officials in the US administration, institutions and economic actors in Washington, as these meetings will discuss ways and means of unifying and developing economic exchanges between companies of the two countries, and opening new areas of cooperation.
During these meetings, representatives of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council will address aspects related to upgrading Algeria’s destination for investment, by improving the business climate and modernizing the frameworks regulating economic activities, in line with global economic transformations.
The statement concluded by emphasizing that the qualitative presence of the Algerian delegation in the 2026 edition of the summit, in addition to the bilateral meetings programmed in Washington, represents a real opportunity for Algerian institutions and economic bodies to present a comprehensive vision about the country’s potential, and to enhance the extension of public policies led by the highest authorities in various strategic sectors.
