The Ministry of Health announced, early today, Saturday, that most of those injured in the tourist bus swerve accident that occurred in the Majaz al-Bab area in Tunisia had arrived at Al-Boni Hospital in Annaba province.
The Ministry confirmed, in a statement, that the process of evacuating the injured, whose condition was stable, took place in the best conditions and with tight organization.
She added that upon their arrival at Al-Boni Hospital, they were directed to the specialized emergency services, where they were taken care of by medical teams that mobilized all human and material resources to ensure the provision of the necessary health care in accordance with the approved protocols.
Yesterday evening, the Ministry of Health announced the start of the process of evacuating the injured from the regional hospital in Beja to the homeland, to continue taking care of them at the level of Algerian health institutions.
According to the same source, the operation took place in close coordination between the Algerian authorities and their Tunisian counterparts, where equipped ambulances were deployed and supported by medical and paramedical staff, to ensure the transportation of the injured in the best conditions.
Specialized medical teams also accompanied the wounded during the evacuation process, ensuring continuous health follow-up and taking all necessary measures to maintain their safety until their arrival in Algeria.
