Aukštaūgius underwent two ankle surgeries this year, and the prognosis did not promise anything good – it was thought that this season was already over for the Lithuanian.
However, T. Sedekerskis is recovering faster than predicted. As reported by Baskonia’s CEO coach Paolo Galbiati, the Lithuanian is already allowed to work in the team’s training sessions without avoiding contact.
“Tado’s situation is improving. I hope that next week he will be able to train a little with the team,” hoped the 42-year-old specialist from Italy.
“We don’t want to rush him, but it is realistic that we will see him again this season.”
Such hopes are strengthened by the solid positions of the “Baskonia” team in the Spanish championship. The Vitoria club, where another Lithuanian Gytis Radzevičius plays, is currently ranked 4th in the ACB league.
The statistics of T. Sedekerskis in this ACB season before the injury reached 6.9 points, 4 caught balls and 8.6 utility points in 19 minutes.
