The journalist Igor Filevski-File, who has been living in Malta for many years, returned to Macedonia and told about the life of the Macedonians there.
Filevski came to Skopje on vacation and was a guest in the podcast “Glam and Drama” with Iskra Kanzurova.
“Finally, Macedonia has a sea. Macedonia has a sea and Macedonia works well. And it is the Macedonia that we need, the Macedonians in Malta. And we have an unavoidable nostalgia for Macedonia. I’m nostalgic for Skopje and after that, here I only have Argentina,” said File, who is known by the nickname “Balls”, according to the sports show for which he became famous.
Argentina is File’s daughter, whom Kanzurova explained is already an adult and lives in Macedonia.
“The only thing I come back for and I will always come back is only for her. If she leaves Macedonia, I will never come again,” said File about her daughter.
He revealed that when they left Macedonia, it was just him and his wife Vesna, and now there are 23 members of their family who have moved abroad.
“The mothers, fathers, sisters, aunts, cousins… Son Leo, Vesna’s sister, their two children, my sister, her husband… nephew Gorjan, everyone, the mothers, fathers from the other side. When we came, when we left Macedonia, it was me and Vesna. We went to Barcelona, after Barcelona we went to Malta after five years and it was just me and Vesna. Now there are about 23 of us from the family that left Macedonia Macedonia”, File revealed and then added that his wife has an interesting profession.
“Vesna is a football coach in the ‘Sirens’ club, which is progressing well and he is the only one in the football team in Malta that has many Macedonian coaches and there are many foreigners – children”, Filevski said. He was on the show with his friend Jovan Ristov-Mandrak, who is a musician and promoted a new album.
