
The stage is set for Jazz ‘n Arts in Paradise, which takes place tomorrow, Saturday, May 2, at Paradise Valley in Borne. Running from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the event is a highlight of the Jazz ‘n Creole weekend, offering a full day of live performances, cultural showcases, and artistic displays.
Internationally acclaimed Martinican artist Kali will headline the program, joined by performers Kimani T, 15.61, Phael Lander, and Khadijah Joseph. Cultural presentations throughout the day will feature Possie Culcha Pan, Penville Children Flirt, Dansesé Gwan Anse, the Junior Calypso Monarch, the Paix Bouche Cultural Group and Drummers, Kalinago Dancers, and Waitu Cirque.
Beyond the music, the grounds will host a range of activities. Dr. Henri Joseph will lead sessions on Caribbean biodiversity and natural medicine, while Doudou Diez presents a fashion showcase. The Waitukubuli Artists Association will curate an art gallery and live painting, complemented by floral artistry, poetry, and guided botanical tours of Paradise Valley. A culinary village will serve local cuisine throughout the day, highlighted by a traditional pig roast.
Admission is EC$25 for adults and EC$10 for children, with tickets available at the gate. The event is presented by the Ministry of Tourism and the Discover Dominica Authority, in collaboration with Paradise Valley, the Waitukubuli Artists Association, and the Paix Bouche Cultural Group.
