The fourth season of the hit football comedy ‘Ted Lasso’, starring Jason Sudeikis, will premiere on Apple TV on August 5.
The season will consist of 10 episodes that will premiere weekly every Wednesday and will conclude with the season finale scheduled for October 7, the online content platform announced this Tuesday.
In this new installment, Ted (Sudeikis) returns to Richmond to face his biggest challenge to date: coaching a second division women’s soccer team. Throughout the season, Ted and the team learn to look before they leap, taking risks they never imagined.
Returning alongside Sudeikis are Hannah Waddingham (‘Game of Thrones’), Juno Temple (‘Roofman’), Brett Goldstein (‘Shrinking’), Brendan Hunt (‘We’re the Millers’) and Jeremy Swift (‘Downton Abbey’).
They are joined by new cast members, such as Tanya Reynolds (‘Sex Education’), Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely, who will play Henry, Ted’s son.
After its global debut on Apple TV+ on August 14, 2020, ‘Ted Lasso’ has broken viewership records on the platform.
Its first season became the comedy series with the most Emmy nominations in its first installment, in addition to obtaining two consecutive awards for best comedy series for its first two seasons.
