The trend is finally reversing at the pump. As of May 1, 2026, the prices of fuels At Morocco recorded a decline after a series of successive increases since mid-March.
According to the new price scales, the liter of diesel falls by 1 dirham per liter, whileSuper Unleaded gasoline recorded a drop of 1.10 dirham per liter. This revision comes a few weeks after a marked increase which brought the price of diesel to nearly 15.50 dirhams per liter in mid-April. With this decrease, diesel should now settle at around 14.50 dirhams per liter, returning to its level at the beginning of April.
As for gasoline, the price of which was also around 15.50 dirhams per liter, the announced drop should bring the liter to around 14.40 dirhams per liter, according to estimates.
As usual, these levels remain indicative and may vary slightly depending on distributors and service stations.
This drop in prices comes in a context of relative calm on the international oil markets, after a period marked by tensions on supply and geopolitical uncertainties which pushed prices upwards.
For consumers, this drop constitutes a signal of calm, even if it only partially offsets the cumulative increases recorded since the beginning of spring. It nevertheless raises expectations regarding a stabilization, or even a continuation of the decline in prices at the pump in the weeks to come.
