Lazar Lugic scored 22 points and Angel Chalas 20 to lead the Cañeros del Este to a 96-88 victory over the Soles del Este, in a game held at the Eleoncio Mercedes Sports Center corresponding to the LNB Super League.
Lugic added 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks for the Cañeros (3-4), while Chalas shot 6 for 7, both from the field and from the foul line. Eusebio Suero added 15 points, 6 boards, 6 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks, and Rafail Lanaras 10 in scoring and 4 assists.
For the Soles (1-4), Terry Larrier had 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists, Jonathan Bello contributed 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists, and Jean Carlos Quezada 17 points and 9 rebounds.

Lugic was the one who put the definition to the match. Six points in a row, including a three-pointer with 1:39 left, distanced the Cañeros 90-83. The great defensive work of the Cañeros also helped.
