The governor of Chihuahua, María Eugenia Campos, announces the creation of a special unit to investigate an alleged joint operation with United States agencies.
María Eugenia Campos reports this April 24 that she is appointing Wendy Paola Chávez Villanueva to head the investigative unit in Chihuahua, after questions from the federal government about the legality of the collaboration with the United States.
According to the president, the investigation seeks to clarify the operation, while President Claudia Sheinbaum demands explanations and emphasizes that any security cooperation must have federal authorization.
