The head of the LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku, during the address from the hall of the Assembly, said that he does not understand why the Prime Minister Albin Kurti is prevented from re-candidating the former president Vjosa Osmani.
“What I cannot understand is what is preventing Vjosa Osmani, Albin Kurti, so much? Maybe Kurti does not want to choose him, but I am convinced that the people of Kosovo will choose him”he said before the start of the session, which LDK has boycotted.
Abdixhik also spoke about the 15 signatures collected by his party, saying that they have not indicated for whom they were collected, as for this an agreement with the LVV is needed, which would complete the rest of the 15 signatures required.
“He (Kurti) must tell us if he has votes for Vjosa Osmani. As far as I understood, he wants Vjosa to be Ferida’s opponent. In these circumstances, he is looking for an opponent”. said Abdizhik.
He further said that Kosovo is heading towards new elections, while calling this session a “one-party show”.
“LDK considers that this show does not serve political interests and we do not participate in such shows”. he said. He also called this session, “attempt to create a case in the Constitutional Court”.
“It is a very high cost for the Republic. The state is not greedy“, he added.
The session for the election of the president of Kosovo continues today, on the day when the deadline set by the Constitutional Court also expires.
