The University of Sarajevo has canceled the protest gathering that was announced for tomorrow in front of the City Hall in Sarajevo. The reason is that the Regulatory Plan “Quadrant C – Marijin Dvor” was withdrawn from the agenda of tomorrow’s session of the City Council of the City of Sarajevo.
– Taking into account the above, we believe that the conditions have been met for the continuation of the dialogue and the institutional resolution of open issues, and that at this moment there is no need to hold the announced gathering. We thank all members of the academic community for their willingness to jointly, dignify and responsibly protect the interests of the University of Sarajevo, its property, security and development vision, according to the UNSA statement.
They say that UNSA remains committed to further active participation in the process of finding solutions through dialogue with competent institutions, in the interest of the academic community and the public good.
Previously, they clearly opposed the adoption of the Regulatory Plan in its current form, requesting its return for additional coordination with the University, which is the owner of the land covered by this plan.
