During the week, the truce between the US and Iran was extended and will now be in effect during the negotiations. Reza Pahlavi resented the Europeans, Mishari Rashid remained at the center of the conflict, a hunter who was a killer of rare animals was found and killed by a herd of elephants. Here are some highlights of the week.
The truce was prolonged
During the week, Donald Trump extended a ten-day ceasefire on the war in Iran. Trump, the deadline-setter, did not set a specific deadline, saying the truce would be in place while negotiations continue. That is, the threats that you have ten days left, two days left, and one hour left did not pass. Anyone listening to Trump’s remarks last week clearly thought Iran had capitulated, as the US president said Tehran was “willing to meet all of its conditions, including giving America enriched uranium.” Now it is not clear who America is talking to. So, there is confusion in the negotiations so far.
Pahlavi is dissatisfied
Reza Pahlavi, the son of the last king of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, held a series of meetings in Berlin during the week. Pahlavi, who participated in the press conference, was sprayed with red paint by an unknown person. Police quickly apprehended him, Pahlavi was unharmed. Most likely, it was one of the Iranian protesters who sprayed the paint. The red paint is a symbol of blood, it is not difficult to understand that the person who did this deed wanted to say that Pahlavi was on the side of America shedding the blood of Iranians, after all he lives in America.
In his speeches in Europe, Pahlavi was dissatisfied with Western publications. In his opinion, repression against people has intensified in Iran, dissidents are brutally executed, and peace cannot be achieved with the current Iranian regime.
But Mr. Reza, don’t forget one thing, because of the war, the repression in Iran increased. Just before the war, the people of Iran, who came to the streets for freedom, gave thousands of victims, and before they could come to their senses, American and Israeli missiles rained down on their heads. Will the people who want freedom be helped by shooting rockets at them? You say that Europe has to choose between a free Iran and the regime. Although no one in Europe has used a regime that restricts people’s freedom, the whole world is unaware of the suffering of the Iranian people. The leaders of the regime may have died due to the American and Israeli strikes, but most of the victims were the supporters of free Iran you are talking about.
Mishari Rashid is at the center of the conflict
A very sensational event took place in the Arab world during the week. A famous preacher from Kuwait, Mishari Rashid, released a song on his YouTube channel condemning Iran and those who use it. “Let the hands of Iran and those who are with Iran be cut off” – this is exactly the name of the song.
More than 1.5 million people watched the video in six days. In the Arab world, this song has become the main topic of discussion in recent days. The clip glorifies the armies of Arab countries and Arab kings.
After this song Mishari Rashid came under severe criticism. He was accused of exonerating Israel and the United States. I was very offended by one thing after watching this clip: the fact that a person whose memorization is the Qur’an, who calls people to goodness, was used for politics.
It is not difficult to notice that the song does not come from the heart due to the lack of melody and charm in the song. I don’t think it was a good thing for the entire Islamic world. Of course, Hazrat Mishari Rashid can justify what he said, the conflict between Arabs and Iran is not yesterday. It’s just that, against the background of current events, a famous person from any Arab king would make such a speech.
Trump wants to punish Spain
It seems that US President Donald Trump wants to take revenge on NATO countries for allegedly not standing by him in the war in Iran. He is thinking about expelling Spain from NATO, which has expressed its displeasure with America most openly among the European countries. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez strongly condemned Trump and Netanyahu’s decision to start a war against Iran. What’s more, Madrid banned the use of American military bases in the country in the war against Iran.
If you notice, in his second term, Trump became very grudge-bearing. He went to war with almost all his neighbors and allies, and then started threatening everyone (except Israel) one after another. His behavior shows more signs of dictatorship than democratic rule. In one of his recent interviews, Alexander Lukashenko also called Trump a dictator, even an emperor. He said this not in criticism, but in admiration and praise.
Quote of the week
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk posted an interesting joke during the week: “European Council meeting. For the first time in many years, there are no Russians in the room. Great relief.” With this joke, the politician meant that Viktor Orbán lost the election in Hungary. For those who don’t understand, Orban and his team are said to be reporting to Russia about every meeting held in the European Union.
Fraud in the Himalayas
Nepalese police have uncovered an unusual fraud scheme in the country’s iconic Himalayan mountain range. The criminal group of 32 people embezzled about 20 million dollars in total.
So, the local guides have selected those who have good insurance policies from among the people who went on the Himalayan trek. During the trip, drinking soda was added to their food or they were made sick with high doses of medicine, which the tourist did not know about. Very natural conditions such as nausea, diarrhea, and mountain sickness were observed in travelers after the drugs given by fraudsters.
The tourist, who allegedly fell ill due to natural causes, was evacuated by helicopter and admitted to the hospital. They prepared a fake document in the hospital and took a lot of money from the tourist. One company made more than $10 million by performing 171 fake evacuations. In total, more than 20 million dollars of unjustified money was taken from about 4,800 tourists. A criminal case was opened and 11 people were arrested. That’s why you can’t get rid of fraudsters anywhere, they deceive people even at the highest point of the world.
The elephants killed the hunter
Ernie Dozio, an American millionaire and a famous scavenger hunter, was killed by an elephant attack in Gabon. While hunting a rare antelope with his hunting partners, a herd of elephants runs out in front of them. Animals attack the hunters to protect their cubs when they see the weapons in their hands. Elephants kill 76-year-old hunter.
You spend your whole life killing dwindling animals, not with your bare hands, but with a gun filled with gunpowder, then you brag about the dead animal in the background, show off to your friends, build a collection of animal carcasses in your house, and one day a herd of elephants crushes you under their feet – the logical conclusion. Wild animals have no language, but the concept of revenge has not disappeared from the laws of nature.
As if all this land is not enough, it is barbaric for humans to exploit the wild nature and make money from it by killing the dying animals. Wild nature should be left alone, the world was not made for greedy man only…
