A project by Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1 for the reconstruction of the Naroch production site (Naroch agrotown) was implemented in 2022–2024 as part of the One District-One Project program in Myadel District. Additional equipment was installed, increasing production capacity by 30 tonnes and allowing the creation of 20 new jobs. Equipment for packaging cheese into consumer containers was also installed at the site. All cheese ripening chambers have been renovated. Modern climate control systems have been installed, allowing mold cultures to develop in accordance with the technological process.
The project’s estimated cost was Br20 million, but the project actually cost Br15 million. The projected payback period is 7.5 years, but in fact the schedule is being exceeded.
“It is important to note that this is the country’s only industrial production facility for blue cheese (three varieties are produced). The enterprise offers the lowest price for its products on the market, while using starter cultures and mold cultures from leading global manufacturers. 80% of the products are exported. Special attention is paid to the development of industrial tourism: more than 600 tourists visit the production facility each month,” the government’s press service said.
Another stop on the prime minister’s working trip was the Priozerny spa resort. The focus of the head of government’s attention was on the development of the tourism potential of the Naroch area. Using Priozerny as an example, key directions were discussed: how to combine health and wellness recreation with active tourism and make the area even more attractive to visitors. “Myadel District has long been considered a gem due to its unique nature and lake district. But today, the emphasis is placed not only on the landscape but also on modern infrastructure,” the press service said.
