Except for the former President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiadis who was summoned and gave a statement regarding the “Brotherhood of the Rosicrucians”, the investigators also had a meeting with former General Secretary of AKEL Andros Kyprianou. The meeting was related to Drousiotis’ claim that at his instigation former president of the Supreme Court Myron Nikolatoshad suggested him Giorgos Savvidis as Attorney General instead of Ionas Nikolaos. Mr. Kyprianou has publicly denied this allegation and mentioned it in his testimony to the investigators.
They also had a meeting with the investigators Myron Nikolato both in relation to the above claim concerning the George Savvidisas well as for the reports on the transfer of €500,000. The depositions, as is understood, will continue in order to cover all those mentioned and at the same time investigations are being carried out concerning other issues that arise through the analysis of the messages and also of the data held by the Police.
In the meantime, it is expected within the current week the Supreme Court to decide on the request of the lawyer Nikos Clerides whether to grant him permission to seek the cancellation of the search warrant on his premises including his office and whether to issue an order prohibiting the Police from processing the content received for examination.
Mr. Cleridis’ application was based on the violation of lawyer’s confidentiality and mainly on the fact that during the investigation no members of the Pancypriot Bar Association were present in his office to supervise the investigation.
It is expected to clear up this week when will the team of American special FBI come which will analyze the deposits and outline the profile of “Santis”.
