The SDP’s Antti Lindtman made a similar call earlier this week.
Greens chair Sofia Virta is calling for Prime Minister Petteri Orpo (NCP) to resign.
Virta made the demand on Saturday at a Greens party council meeting in Helsinki.
She said the Orpo government has failed in what she sees as most important — building trust and ensuring fairness.
Her comments come after Social Democratic Party leader Antti Lindtman also earlier this week called for Orpo to step down. Lindtman said the government has failed so badly in its economic policy that it would be wisest for Orpo to resign.
Virta also criticised other opposition parties, saying that for some of them it is enough if “blue is replaced with red.”
For the Greens, she said, a simple change of government is not sufficient, arguing that the party is instead pushing for a broader shift in Finland’s direction.
The Social Democrats, Centre Party and Greens are holding party council meetings in Helsinki on Saturday.
