“There are a number of operations that are being carried out on San Pedro. As a matter of fact, we had a significant operation on the 4th of November which led to the arrest and charge of several persons, namely Ericka Hernandez, Daniel Lagos, Carlos Hernandez, Vincent Lopez, Zahiel Caliz, Cesar Hernandez, Akeem Lock, Cesar Hernandez Jr., John Hernandez, where they were all jointly charged for several offences, including two counts of kept firearm without a gun license, kept ammunition without a gun license, and two counts of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply. The arrest of these individuals follows the execution of a search warrant at a residence in San Pedro town by personnel of the anti-narcotics unit as well as the canine unit with the use of Dog Axle. This search led to the discovery of two 9mm pistols, over 46 rounds of 9mm ammunition, 259 grams of cocaine, and 332 grams of cannabis. So, there are operations that are underway by the GI3 and anti-narcotics unit in that area. I don’t know if the interaction in particular was as a consequence of the ongoing investigation. However, certainly that will come out in the course of the investigation that is ongoing, and I would be better able to advise at that time.”
