The coverage of the visits to nutritionists and dieticians still it is pending for the professional association to sign the agreement with the Andorran Social Security Fund (CASS)but once the public financing comes into force, it will do so with some different condition with respect to those initially collected in the Health decreelast July. The text has been modified and a change affects the conditions of visits for people with obesity, initially more limited. What has been gathered is that users will have six initially, which they will be extendable to two annual visits until they get one body mass index (BMI) below 30. In the first version, the initial six inquiries could be extended to two more, but only in the first year, it was not indefinite. The second change that is incorporated is that before the renewal of the initial coverage, the professionals will have to record the body parameters of the patients: weight and body mass indexwaist circumference and body fat, muscle mass, visceral fat and lean mass. A control that applies to the obesity pathologies, overweight, eating disorders, diabetes, metabolic malnutrition and childhood metabolic pathologies. In the first decree, this registration had to be done at the beginning and at the end of the treatment, therefore, a third control is added.
The coverage is not effective because the signature of the agreement with the CASS is missing
The visit fee remains the same, 28 euroswhether they are initial or renewal. Public funding will be from 75% and the the patient will have to assume the remaining 25%. There are also no changes in the diseases that are covered or the number of associated consultations. It will be necessary to have a referral from the doctor, the consultations must be in person and slimming diets on demand or those to improve sports performance are excluded. Now the last and most important procedure must be completed: that the visits of the professionals with an agreement with the CASS are formally covered. The date that was set was September 1st and obviously it has not been met. From the school they indicated that the signature with the CASS it must be formalized.
