MANCHESTER – Jamaican international Khadija “Bunny” Shaw got her name on the scoresheet again for Manchester City, but her side conceded a late goal as PSG fought back to earn a 1-1 draw in the UEFA Women’s Champions League in England on Thursday.
After two successive draws, the 29-year-old Shaw looked to have finally secured City’s first win in the competition when she converted from the penalty spot in the 85th minute after being brought down in the box by Griedge Mbock Bathy at the Joie Stadium.
Shaw had earlier missed several chances to put the home side ahead, including a header that dropped wide and a strike that was tipped behind for a corner in the second half.
However, PSG responded three minutes later when Tara Elimbi Gilbert slotted the ball past City goalkeeper Ayaka Yamashita.
The result means Andree Jeglertz’s side remain unbeaten in all competitions this season, but City have drawn all three of their European matches.
They still have Inter Milan, BK Hacken and Austria Wien to play in the league phase but will still be considered favourites and remain in a good position to qualify for the knockout stages.
