Turmush — An unusual natural phenomenon was recorded in the city of Tokmok. In mid-autumn, or rather in October, the city trees began to bloom again. About this to the correspondent Turmush local residents reported.
On the streets of the city you can see fruit trees, including apple trees, and lilacs blooming again with white and pink flowers along with green leaves. Local residents are surprised by this rare phenomenon, film it and share it on the Internet.
According to experts, warm autumn weather and sudden changes in weather conditions confuse plants and encourage them to bloom again.
In biology, this phenomenon is called “repeat” or “secondary flowering.”
The following interesting scientific information is associated with this phenomenon.

Why does this phenomenon occur?
Climate anomalies and warming. Long autumn and warm weather disrupt the biological clock of plants. The plant perceives weather conditions as spring and prematurely opens buds prepared for next year.
Hormonal imbalance. Severe drought or sudden changes in weather affect the plant’s internal hormonal system and disrupt its growth cycle.
Why is this dangerous for plants?
Weakening preparations for winter. The flowering process requires a lot of energy and nutrients from the plant. Trees that bloom in the fall may not withstand winter cold and are at risk of freezing.
Reduced harvest next year. Buds that open out of season may not bloom the following spring, resulting in a reduced harvest of fruit and vegetables.
According to biologists, this is one of the rare adaptation reactions, which in recent years has been increasingly observed throughout the world, including in our region, due to global climate change.
