“Health” (AKIpress) – Patients who believe that their rights have been violated when receiving medical care are advised to first contact the management of the medical organization, and if the problem cannot be resolved, contact a higher authority or the Ministry of Health. This was reported by a representative of the legal department of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan Dostonbek Soktorov at the briefing.
According to him, first of all, a citizen can contact the chief physician or deputy head responsible for the quality of medical care.
“If management does not take action or the issue is not resolved, it is necessary to contact a higher authority or the Ministry of Health. If after this the citizen does not agree with the answer, he has the right to appeal to the court or law enforcement agencies,” Soktorov said on air from the Ministry of Health.
He explained that citizens can submit appeals on issues of the quality of medical care, actions or inactions of medical workers, receipt of services within the framework of state guarantees, provision of preferential medicines, as well as on facts of possible illegal collection of money.
The appeal can be submitted in writing, electronically or in person. It should state the essence of the problem, indicate the first and last name, address for receiving a response and attach supporting documents.
Soktorov clarified that publishing a complaint on social networks does not in itself replace an official appeal.
“In order for the issue to be considered in full, it is necessary to additionally send an official appeal in written or electronic form in accordance with the established procedure,” he explained.
