Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk does not skimp on sourness when he arrives for Friday’s continued summit in Nicosia.
“For the first time in years, there were no Russians in the room, if you know what I mean,” Tusk said of the opening dinner meeting on Thursday.
Tusk is referring to the revelations that both Orbán and his Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó have in recent years extensively reported to Moscow what was discussed at various EU meetings.
No one from Hungary is participating in Nicosia; Hungary’s interests are instead being looked after by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.
