Bajrami asks the Special Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the single-source tenders: They have become governing practices, and corruption along with them

The deputy of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Hykmete Bajrami, through a post on Facebook, said that “single-source tenders have become a governmental practice, and with them corruption”.
Bajrami called on the Special Prosecutor’s Office “to investigate all these contracts, the reasons for using negotiated procedures, the prices and their beneficiaries”.
Post:
Single-source tenders have become a government practice, and with them corruption!
I have repeatedly spoken about single-source tenders and asked the Special Prosecutor’s Office to investigate them.
About 3 thousand single-source contracts are no exception – this has become practice.
While cancer patients remain without essential drugs for months, due to procurement failures, institutions find reasons to negotiate contracts for the purchase of pellets.
The last case, where the Municipality of Podujeva with a negotiated tender contracted the pellet for 120 euros more expensive per ton than the Municipality of Rahovec with an open tender, is just an illustration of the consequences of the lack of competition.
I again call on the Special Prosecutor’s Office to investigate all these contracts, the reasons for using negotiated procedures, the prices and their beneficiaries.
The state budget belongs to the citizens, not to the rulers.
Every euro must be accounted for!
