Tesla presented this Thursday, October 15, the new version of its electric sports car ‘Roadster’. According to the company, The car can go from 0 to 100 kilometers in less than a second and has thrusters that allow it take off and perform maneuvers in the air.

The exhibition of the prototype was led by the executive director of the automobile company, Elon Musk, at the SpaceX test headquarters in McGregor, Texas.
The mechanism that allows the car to be lifted does not work with traditional rocket fuel, but rather through a high pressure air system.

In the presentation, Musk referred to this advance saying that it is “the result of the collaboration between the best automobile company in the world and the best rocket company in the world.”
After the demonstration, doubt remains about the commercial cost of the vehicle and its market release date.

To know how much the car costs, you have to take into account that the final price is not yet final because the company must set the conditions of sale.
For now, Tesla activated the reserves in euros for its three versions.
The section is done in two parts: an initial payment upon application and the remaining balance within a period of up to 10 days to avoid losing your quota.
- Tesla Roadster Performance: It is the version designed for the road, with capacity for two people. It has active aerodynamics (body parts that move automatically to provide stability depending on speed) and a multi-mode suction system, which sticks the car to the ground using air to take corners more firmly. For this version 5,000 euros (17,840,000.00 Colombian pesos) are paid immediately and the remaining 45,000 euros (160,560,000.00 Colombian pesos) are paid within a period of 10 days.
- Tesla Roadster Thrust: It maintains the space for two passengers, the active aerodynamics and the suction system of the base version, but adds acceleration thrusters to reach greater speed in less time. In this case, they pay 5,000 euros (17,840,000.00 Colombian pesos) initial fee and 245,000 euros (874,160,000.00 Colombian pesos) in the following 10 days.
- Tesla Roadster Rocket: Designed for a single occupant, it integrates the functions of the Performance and Thrust models along with complete flight equipment. It does not have a public reserve price because its sale is exclusively by invitation. Likewise, Tesla clarifies that this version is not authorized to circulate on public roads.

When will the new Tesla Roadster arrive?
The mass production of the new ‘Roadster’ is scheduled for 2028according to Tesla.
