AREZZO – A silver and a bronze are the spoils won by the San Marino Team at the 14th Tuscany Open fighting, played on 3 and 4 October at the Palasport Estra “Mario D’Agata” in Arezzo. At the event, which saw the participation of around 500 athletes from all over Italy, the San Marino Taekwondo Federation was present with three athletes, accompanied by the national coach According to Bernardi.

The bronze arrived on Sunday Pietro BernardiChildren category -27 kg and 5th kup belt. The San Marino athlete was defeated in the semi-final by Alessandro Di Valentino 0-2 (12-25, 12-18), a result which still allowed him to climb onto the third step of the podium.
Silver instead for Lucrezia Gregoronimaking his absolute debut in the Kids -41 kg category. In the final the San Marino player faced the more experienced Chiara Candidi, who won 2-0 (12-0, 13-4). For Gregoroni, however, it remains a significant result in his first experience on the competition field.
With these two medals, the San Marino Team brings the total number of trophies won to 376. The competitive calendar will continue in the coming weeks with various international and national events, including the Grand Prix Open Qualification Tournament in Vrsac, the Italian U21 Championships, the Malta Open and the Grand Prix Open Final.
