FAITH will invest a total of 13.5 million in the high voltage line with Spain in 2027. This is one of the strategic actions foreseen in the budgets of the parapublic for next year. This project includes the construction of the line, with an investment of nine million, the conversion of the overhead line of 225 kV to 110 kV for the link with the new transformer and distribution station (ETR) of the Runer riverwith an allocation of three million euros, and the replacement of the guard cable of the high voltage line of 110 kV between Margineda and the border, with an investment of 1.5 million and another of less than 45,000 euros for the installation of a new fiber optic network. The three performances add up to a total of 13.49 millionwhich means a reduction in the endowment of the 10.63% in the chapter of high voltage lines.
The director general of FEDA, Silvia Calvohe explained in an interview with let’s talk about it that the whole of the line, the transformer station and the annexed connections will mean between 70 and 75 million euros and have as completion horizon 2029. The new infrastructure will make it possible to double or almost triple the electricity input capacity fromSpain and give more room to the growth of demand. The other outstanding chapter of investments in facilities are the 21.8 million euros in renewable energies, linked to the wind farm project at Pic del Maià.
The other expenses highlighted in the concept of machinery, installations and equipment, a category that adds up to a total of 45 million of the 60 of the new investments by 2027are those related to the stations transformers of the Runer river, the Massana Escaldes, Ransol and the Margineda, what do they suppose 4.35 million. They also stand out 2.27 million intended for the facilities associated with the reform of the administrative building of FEDAas well as other elements such as the installation of new electric chargers a FAITHthe reorganization of the Encamp warehouse, the reform of the guardhouse of ransol or the automation of lakes.
Regarding the departure of buildings and other constructions, they are reached 9.8 million in 2027which mean doubling the 4.97 this year. 3.9 millions are planned for the start of the renovation works of the services buildingEncamp. With an expected duration of two years, it constitutes the main action included in this concept. Although this project has been postponed on several occasions, the building currently has significant limitations both in terms of energy efficiency and functionality and space capacity.
FAITH points out that the goal is “modernize the facilities and advance in the fulfillment of the exemplary role that the administrations must exercise in matters of energy efficiency. Likewise, it will contribute to improve the working conditions of the teams and to have more functional and adequate spaces to respond to the evolution of the organization and the challenges associated with its strategic objectives”, concludes the parapublic.
Finally, the category of land and natural assets, with an overall budget of 3.8 millionforesees an amount of1.4 million euross for the possible purchase of land i 2.4 million as a forecast to deal with the conditioning of the land where the wind farm will be located, in case it is not finally time to award in 2026.
FAITH estimates a result of current operations of 37.06 millioninsufficient to finance the 72 million of spending on investments. The parapublic expects to balance the year’s result 2027 with the financial income of 40.66 millionto which they must be subtracted 5.21 million of financial expenditure. The 35,453,036 euros remaining will make it possible to offset the deficit without accounting for the change in financial assets and liabilities.
